Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who has joined the "Dhoom" franchise for the first time, hopes that the third installment - slated for release worldwide Friday - turns out to be successful in Tamil as well.

"Dhoom 3" also featuring Katrina Kaif along with Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will release in Tamil under the same title.

"Our film 'Dhoom 3' has also been dubbed in Tamil. I think this is one of my few films of mine to be dubbed in this language. I'm really looking forward to the response from the local audience who may not be aware of my work because of the language barrier. I'm hoping that it will be received well," Aamir told reporters here Tuesday.

Accompanied by his co-stars Katrina, Uday and Abhishek, he was speaking at a promotional event of the film.

"We are just testing with this dubbing idea and I'm keen to see how audiences will receive our film in their mother tongue Tamil," he added.

Katrina, who plays Aaliya, a circus artist in the film, said Chennai was like home to her.

"My mother used to stay in Chennai for quite some time before moving to Madurai. I used to come with her a lot. (It's a) lovely place and when I landed (this evening) I had a feeling of missing this place. I'm glad to have a got a chance to come back," she said.

Kat, as she is fondly called in the industry, has worked in southern industries such as Telugu and Malayalam. She said she's unfortunate to have not worked in Tamil so far.

"Aamir asked if I know and can speak in Tamil, but sadly, I can't speak Tamil. I have done two Telugu films and one in Malayalam too but unfortunately didn't a chance to work in Tamil yet," she said.

"Dhoom 3" is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, who had penned the story for the first two parts in the franchise.

"It's been a special journey for me. I have been associated with the franchise from the first part and now I have directed the third one. Therefore, it's very special and I'm also looking forward to the response from the audience for the Tamil version," said Acharya.

Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, who have been associated with the franchise since its inception, will be reprising the roles of Jai Dixit and Ali Akbar respectively.

Junior Bachchan said that he hopes the Tamil version of "Dhoom 3" impresses one and all.

"It's always a pleasure to come back to Chennai, which is one of my favorite cities. I have done a lot of work here. We are very happy to bring our film to Chennai in Tamil version so that a lot of Tamil audience also gets to enjoy the film. I really do hope you all like it," he said.

Produced by Yash Raj Films, "Dhoom 3" is the first Indian film to be released in IMAX.byy santa banta news networkk..

JAI HO

We’ve just witnessed the power of the ‘aam aadmi’ at the ballot, now watch the power of a ‘people’s man’ in this first teaser of Salman Khan’s much-awaited film Jai Ho.

Aam aadmi sota hua sher hai, ungli mat kar, jaag gaya toh cheer-phad dega (A common man is a sleeping lion. Don’t poke it. If woken, it would rip you apart),” thunders Salman.

A remake of the Telugu film StalinJai Ho has Salman Khan playing Major Jai Agnihotri. Tabu plays Riya Agnihotri, apparently his sister. In the teaser, we see Jai sketching his plan to make this world a better place. Anyone he helps would have to help three people in turn and so a human chain of do-gooders would be formed.

Danny Denzongpa plays the baddie who throws a spanner in Jai’s plans. He pokes the sleeping giant (ungli kar di) and then the lion wakes up, roars, and does the ‘cheer-phad’ (ripping apart). The bad guys are mauled, bashed, pummeled at the hands of Salman Khan. That’s the power of the ‘aam admi’ finding its most aggressive expression.

The trailer of Jai Ho was launched on Thursday by Salman Khan and director Sohail Khan along with brother Arbaaz Khan.

'Jai Ho' also stars Sana Khan and Daisy Shah. The film is produced by Sunil Lulla and Sohail Khan. It is all set to release in theatres on 24th January, 2014. byy apun ka choice..

Anushka Sharma denies dating Virat Kohli

Anushka Sharmacompletes five successful years in Bollywood and while talking to ‘The Indian Express’, the ‘Band Baaja Baraat’ clears the weather of dating Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. Off late, grapevine buzzed that Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are seeing each other and both are very serious about one another but the long legged actress during the interview rubbishes the report.
When Anushka was asked whether she is seeing Virat, she replied, ‘No, I am not’.  Anushka claims she and Virat are only good friends and they sometimes hang out together.  Anushka said, “We are friends. I met him during the shoot of a shampoo commercial. I thought he'd be arrogant so I also went with arrogance but once we started shooting, I realised that he's really chilled out. We shot together for three days and on the second day of the shoot, I was having a get-together at my place so I called him over to hang out with my friends”.
“That's what it was and the next thing I read is a completely fictional account of how we were smooching in a lift in front of some Aunty from my building who we made uncomfortable. Arrey, I'm not even a hugging person. I feel very weird when everyone hugs each other on the sets. I'm like arrey kal hi toh mile thay yaar”, she added.
When she was asked about the story how Virat kept turning back to look at her after she came to see him off in the parking area of your building, she laughs it out saying, “Yeah, I read that. I think it's some bored neighbour with a notepad and pen who is writing these flop scenes from a bad film.”
Anushka said the ugly thing written about her is that she is ugly, “People said I'm ugly. It used to bother me a lot. There's this site pinkvilla.com. They put up pictures and the haters write really nasty stuff. Earlier I used to get upset but now I deal with it. When you are happy about yourself then you don't care”, quips the actress.
In this five years, Anushka has done only seven films but she has no regrets. “Professionally, none. I never put myself in a place I don't want to be in. Even if it's about endorsing a brand if I don't agree with what the brand is saying I won't promote it. I've always known what I want. Personally, there have been ups and downs but I've come to realise that the downs are good for an actor's emotional reserves. Earlier I used to get frazzled when something bad used to be written about me and I used to say it doesn't bother me but I was lying”, ended Anushka.byy  bollywood mantra.com

SRK tops Forbes India celebrity list, yet again

SRK tops Forbes India celebrity list, yet again

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has topped the 2nd edition of Forbes India's celebrity 100 list, a ranking of India's most powerful celebrities.

SRK continues to be on the top on the back of his earnings, even though star cricketers scored above him on the fame rankings, states the official website of the magazine.

The superstar has retained his No.1 position in the list, which also has names like Bollywood biggies Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif along with cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and India cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

The Celebrity 100 list is arrived at by measuring money (earnings estimates) and fame. Film stars - all male, with the exception of Katrina Kaif, who is on number nine - dominate the Top Ten in 2013.

Cricket is the closest competitor to Bollywood and their stars' fame index is testimony to that.

Dhoni, who was on the third position last year, has risen to the second position. He has taken what was earlier Salman's position.

Salman, who is now third in the list, is followed by Tendulkar and Bachchan.

Kareena Kapoor and Virendra Sehwag have been pushed down from the top 10 this time, making way for Ranbir and Hrithik Roshan.

Others who make it the list of 100 this year are cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, singer-composer Amit Trivedi, Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan and actress Sridevi.byy santa banta news network..
