Now Kareena turns Paro?

Now Kareena turns Paro?

Avant-garde director Sudhir Mishra is about to start his dream project. For years he has nurtured the dream of doing his own take on Saratchandra Chatterjee's classic Bengali novel Devdas, the agless tale of love loyalty and betrayal and self-destruction that has been treated in various eras by directors ad diverse as Bimal Roy,Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Anurag Kashyap.

Sudhir's take on Devdas has been ready for 8 years. He has now re-written the script and the film which goes on the floors shortly would be titled Har Khwahish Pe Dum Nikle.

Interestingly Sudhir intends to cast Kareena Kapoor in his film.Kareena and Sudhir Mishra had generated a sterling synthesis in Chameli. They were all set to come together again two years ago in Dhruv, the project to be produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhavani with Farhan and Kareena in the lead.

But the film got shelved.

When contacted Sudhir said, `Yes ,I am making Har Khwahish Pe Dum Nikle next. I was actually finalizing another script as my next film. But I got stuck in it mid-way.So I looked at this other script which I had been nurturing for years. The time for doing my Devdas is now.As for the cast, it's too early to talk about whom I am will cast.`

Sudhir says his take on Devdas would be distinctly Shakespearean.

`In fact it would be more Shakespeare than Saratchandra,` admits Sudhir.

Har Khwahish Pe Dum Nikle has an interesting history. Sudhir Mishra initially planned to direct it for producer Pritish Nandy with Shiney Ahuja, Chitrangda and Lara Dutta vast as Devdas,Chandramukhi and Paro. The project later moved to Farhan under the title Dhruv with Farhan and Kareena in the lead.

Now Sudhir says he is all set to finally make the film .

`I have to get it out of my system. It's been swimming in my subconscious for too long,` says Sudhir.

Incidentally Kareena was at one point, to be cast as Paro in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas.byy santa banta news network..

Deepika`s outfit similar to a British socialiate
Wednesday, January 29, 2014 13:16 IST
Deepika Padukone (left) stepped out in a sheer golden gown at a film awards event.

The very same outfit (albeit in a different colour) was spotted on British socialiate Lady Victoria Harvey at the Golden Globe awards earlier this month. The outfits are designed by Gaurav Gupta. Must say Deepika's version is more modest.

Holy Cow! Jacqueline Fernandez in dilemma

Holy Cow! Jacqueline Fernandez in dilemma
Jacqueline Fernandez is torn between Sajid Nadiadwala and Karim Morani as she gave same dates to both their projects

Jacqueline Fernandez has a choice to make and it's not an easy one. The actress, who starts shooting today for Sajid Nadiadwala's directorial debut 'Kick' opposite Salman Khan, will have to either continue with the film's shoot in February or be part of the 'Temptations Reloaded' tour, a commitment she had made last year.

In fact, the Australia leg of the tour went off smoothly last year after which the Malaysia leg got cancelled. But with that concert now slated to take place on February 15, Jacqueline is in a fix.

A source close to the actress says that director Sajid Nadiadwala is not willing to let his lead actress go as he has some important sequences lined up in mid-February. "With Jacky shooting for 'Kick' on the same day, we're not sure if she will be a part of the Malaysia tour. The organisers may have to replace her," says the source.

The source adds that Morani Brothers - the organisers of the tour - have requested Sajid to let her be a part of the tour, but the issue has not yet been resolved.

When contacted, Mohammad Morani admitted that there is a clash of dates. "I spoke to Sajid about the same - it turns out that he is shooting key scenes with a lot of dancers and I can understand his situation. That said, Jacqueline's company has given me her dates, so now this is a matter that needs to be sorted out between Sajid and the company," he said.

And will he be replacing Jacqueline if she is unable to join them for the tour? "It's too early to say anything right now. Besides, it's a ticketed show, so posters for the same have already been sent out. But yes, if she doesn't join us, we will have to replace her," he replied.

Both Sajid Nadiadwala and Jacqueline Fernandez remained unavailable for comment.

Deepika Padukone may have to ditch Salman Khan's film with Sooraj Barjatya but may take on a project with Aamir Khan
Deepika Padukone may miss out on working with Salman Khan due to clashing dates. The actress was on producer Sooraj Barjatya's wishlist to play the female lead in his film starring Salman, but it has now emerged that the actress has already allotted those dates to Imtiaz Ali for his next film, which goes on the floors around the same time.

A source said, "Sooraj is very keen to have Deepika on board and so is Salman, but the former wants Deepika to assign 120 days for the film's shoot from June onwards and it doesn't look like she will be able to pull it off as she will be shooting for Imtiaz's film from July to December."

Construction of the film's set has already begun at ND studio, adds a source close to the production house. "Nitin Desai is the film's art director and shooting for the film will begin in May. About 60 to 70 per cent of the film will be shot in the studio," says the source. To add to this, buzz has it that Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar want to sign Deepika Padukone for a film under their banner. "Shooting for the film will begin in December and Deepika should be able to sign on the dotted line.

Aamir Khan has been approached for the same and though he has not yet signed the film, he is likely to give his nod to the project. The film will be directed by Nitya Mehra, who has earlier assisted Farhan and the plot will centre around time travel."

  • MUMBAI, India
Indian actress Sneha Ullal, who debuted opposite Salman Khan in “Lucky: No Time for Love,” is all set to make a comeback in Bollywood following her stint down South.
Khan, 48, who launched the starlet in 2005 film “Lucky,” is now guiding her through her second innings in Hindi movies.
Though “Lucky” failed to garner attention at the box office, Ullal, 28, was noted for her striking similarity to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
“After my debut film ‘Lucky: No Time for Love,’ Salman and I have been in touch. I was too naive when I did that film. Now that I have done a couple of films in the South, I am ready to come back here. It’s lately that he has been guiding me for it (comeback),” Ullal said.
“He says it’s important to look appealing in showbiz. He has given me a gym regime to follow and told me to learn belly dancing. He has always pushed me to do better work and I really look up to him,” she added.
Now that she has acted in a few Telugu films, Ullal wants to be very careful while making choices in Bollywood.
“There have been offers coming my way and I am overwhelmed and nervous at the same time. I am taking my time and want to go slow, as this time there is no room for mistakes. I want to be careful as the competition is killer this time,” Ullal said.
When asked if Khan is planning to cast her in one of his upcoming movies, Ullal said, “As of now, there are no film offers from him.
