Besharam: Be bold, brave and boisterous with Ranbir Kapoor,Releasing today

New Delhi: With no other big films releasing this Friday, Abhinav Kashyap's 'Besharam' has a clean week as far as competition goes. The Ranbir Kapoor-starrer is hitting the theatres on October 2.
The film will be a litmus test for both actor Ranbir after superhit 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' and Kashyap post 'Dabangg'.
"Our expectations are huge. We have made a good film and have promoted it well," Kahsyap told IANS.
With each film, Ranbir Kapoor is inching closer to the mighty Khans of the Hindi film industry.
The film, produced by Himanshu Mehra, Sanjeev Gupta and Reliance Entertainment, had a shooting budget of Rs 60 crore plus the cost of promotions, marketing and advertising.
"We have locked about 3,600 screens in India and 700 screens overseas," said the director.
Whether the audience will accept Ranbir in deglam role or not, will only be revealed once the movie releases.
"It is a big film and there is no other film releasing in the same week. We have to wait and watch how it unfolds and whether the audience likes it or not," trade analyst Taran Adarsh told IANS.
'Besharam' also stars Ranbir's actor-parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh. Actress Pallavi Sharda, a newcomer who hails from Australia, plays the female lead in the film.
Abhinav Kashyap is known for his masala entertainer 'Dabangg', while his elder brother and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's forte is parallel cinema. And the 'Dabangg' director says they want to rule different areas of Bollywood.
"When Anurag will get into masala films, then probably I will think of making his kind of cinema. We both brothers want to rule different areas of Bollywood," Abhinay said in an interview.
"We are mafias. We don't operate in each other's area," he added jokingly.
Ranbir Kapoor has showcased his flexible dancing skills in many of his songs, but for his forthcoming film 'Besharam', he went totally desi for a bhangra number.
