MANNA DEY’S SAND SCULPTURE

Glowing tributes have poured in for the legendary singer Manna Dey ever since his death on Thursday morning in Bangalore at the age of 94.
Everyone from the President and Prime Minister of India to the colleagues in the film industry have expressed their grief over the death of the singing maestro who passed away after prolonged illness.
Sand artist Sudarshan Pattnaik found his own way to pay tribute to Manna Dey: by making a sand sculpture of the singing legend.
Well, the artist does seem to have got the facial features right, and we appreciate the effort.
Meanwhile, Manna Dey’s body was laid in state in Bangalore for the fans and friends to pay their last tribute.
Hundreds of people braved the downpour and thronged Ravindra Kalakshetra (theatre) in the city centre to pay tributes to Mannada. byy.. apun ka choice.. |
